So Why GIS? Maps better than any other medium allow us to describe and make sense of our complex world, its people and social order. Today GIS touches every profession, industry, and government entity across Indiana. Over 95 percent of all government data can be represented on a GIS map to provide actionable information. The modern geographic information systems we create today help us visualize our world and enlighten people to better understand all its complexities to make better informed decisions.
Through IGIC’s Annual GIS Conference, professionals from across Indiana come together to share their GIS skills to design, build, maintain, and share these valuable geographic information resources, and discover new ways to understand our world. Please join us in 2018 as we continue on this great adventure!
